About the role

We are looking for a Quality Cloud Engineer (Software Developer in Test) who wants to join and grow a high-performing team with the aim of building a world class engineering capability. The technologies used will be wide ranging and varied. Ideal candidates should be enthusiastic about learning new technologies and working across different clients and sectors. The role combines traditional responsibilities across Quality Engineering, DevOps and Cloud Engineering.

Responsibilities / Skills and Experience
  • CI/CD: Set up automated tests to run in CI/CD pipelines, ensuring tests are triggered and results are available at each stage of the build process. Proven ability to build, maintain and optimise pipelines.
  • End-to-End Testing Optimisation: Analyse existing complex end-to-end tests, identifying opportunities to simplify tests for efficient execution and better coverage.
  • Test Strategy and Best Practices: Define and promote best practices for test automation, guiding tool selection, framework architecture, and testing methodologies.
  • Test Automation: Develop and maintain native test automation frameworks that are reliable, scalable, and maintainable.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions.
Bonus Points
  • Experience with testing tools, such as Playwright.
  • Working knowledge of using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure), and practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
