An opportunity has become available for an Electrician to join our Pelletising Plant. In this role you will work as part of a team to achieve targeted levels of plant availability through planned preventative and corrective maintenance. Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Lead working on a 4:3:3:4 roster and averaging a 42 hour week.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Execute approved maintenance strategies and scheduling of the works
  • Identify opportunities for improved asset performance and recommend appropriate changes to support plant performance
  • Provide technical support for all electrical issues and standardise the plant, equipment, services and systems where practical
  • Working in a professional, timely and safe manner following all SIMEC Mining's standards and procedures
About your experience

You are a reliable and safety-focused Electrical tradesperson who is an effective communicator, demonstrating success working independently as well as within a team environment.

You will have:

  • "A Class" electrical licence - Essential
  • Understanding of safety procedures used when maintaining fixed plant
  • Experience in fixed plant maintenance within mining is preferable
  • Understanding of maintenance principles and plant improvement processes
  • Strong technical and electrical aptitude
