Safety, Compliance & Accreditation Manager

At Blacks Transport Group, a leading family-owned logistics provider with a strong focus on safety and service, we're seeking an experienced Safety & Compliance Manager to lead our safety culture across multiple sites.

This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Brisbane Area. The ideal candidate will ensure the company's compliance with safety regulations, manage safety protocols, conduct safety audits, and maintain accreditation standards.

The Safety, Compliance & Accreditation Manager will develop compliance strategies, provide training and support to staff, and stay updated with regulatory changes.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS), Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and site compliance.
  • Lead safety audits and training.
  • Drive incident management and prevention.
  • Support staff to remain safe, compliant, and operational.

About You:

  • You have led safety or compliance in a transport environment.
  • You possess knowledge of NHVAS, CoR, and Work Health and Safety (WHS).
  • You are proactive, practical, and willing to take on challenges.
  • You excel in providing training and support to staff.
  • You have strong communication and organizational skills.
  • You can stay informed of industry regulatory changes.
  • Relevant certifications in safety management are advantageous.
  • You are based near Park Ridge and willing to travel between depots.

You will report to our General Manager and play a key role in shaping our safety approach. This is a leadership position where you can make a tangible impact, rather than simply meeting requirements.

  3. Project Management and Information Technology expertise.
  4. Truck Transportation industry knowledge.
