About the Role

The Policy, Markets and Insight Division supports the NDIS Commission's legislative functions through strategic policy development and advice.

This includes innovative thinking, data analysis, and evidence reviews to solve complex policy issues and uphold the rights of people with disability through regulation of the NDIS market.

Division Structure

The Division consists of five teams:

Data and Insights Team

The Data and Insights Team is responsible for delivering high-quality analytics that underpin data-driven decision-making.

The team manages data management and modelling, provides business intelligence to operational units, reports on key metrics and trends, and develops models to facilitate safeguarding.

Senior Data Analyst - Data Management Responsibilities

The Senior Data Analyst will identify opportunities to optimize data management processes, develop data dictionaries and mapping, establish data management standards, execute quality assurance testing, and act as a domain expert for various datasets.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude towards people with disability, be highly curious, and possess strong attention to detail, demonstrated proficiency with SQL, and good understanding of data warehousing and ETL practices.

Additional desirable criteria include lived experience of disability, experience with data visualisation tools, and qualifications in statistics, epidemiology, social science, psychology, information technology, or data analytics.
