Hands-on Software Architect ready to take the lead of our internal development team. Shape AC3's tech roadmap and work with expert IT teams.

Role title: Software Architect & Dev Team Lead. This role bridges IT architecture and operational delivery, working with internal customers who are highly technical IT professionals. This role is responsible for designing, right sizing, reviewing and overseeing the delivery of robust IT solutions aligned with AC3's business goals.

Role and responsibilities
  • Own the internal technology roadmap and systems ensuring it aligns to business strategy and needs
  • Partner with IT stakeholders to design and implement modern, scalable, and cost-effective solutions
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies to keep AC3 ahead of the curve
  • Ensure architectural standards, patterns, and best practices are followed across systems and services
  • Design solutions and actively engage in their implementation, guiding the team and participating in hands-on technical work as required
  • Mentor and upskill the team to strengthen overall technical expertise
Skills & experience
  • 10–15+ years in the industry with strong experience across software architecture
  • Experience translating business challenges into technical solutions
  • Previous mentoring or leading technical teams is highly regarded (open to someone eager to step into a leadership role)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures, integration, APIs, automation frameworks, data modelling and governance; Java development, AWS Lambda, microservices, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to deliver pragmatic solutions
  • Experience influencing other IT professionals at a senior level
  • Industry certifications highly regarded (ITIL and Agile/Project Management, AWS, Microsoft, etc.)
  • Leadership opportunity while remaining hands-on with technology
