HammondCare At Home is continuing to expand our services and we are seeking several permanent part-time Specialised Carers to provide support to our Clients across the Redland Bay and surrounding suburbs.

Our specialised carers receive a work mobile phone, paid travel time and kilometres. We have flexible days of the week as well as start and finish times.

About the role

Join us in this exciting role starting mid-January 2025

In this role, you'll provide essential and practical care to help older people live independently in their homes and directly improve their quality of life. The role requires travel to clients' homes using your own car for which you'll be paid $0.99 cents per km plus paid travel time.

The care work you'll be doing may include:

  1. Providing personal care - helping with showering and dressing
  2. Helping around the home - meal preparation and light house cleaning
  3. Providing transportation to appointments and assisting with shopping
  4. Assisting with medication

About you

  1. You can relate to people and you're patient and solutions-focused.
  2. You may have previous experience in aged or community care or are looking to start your career in aged care.
  3. You have a valid Driver's Licence and access to an insured, reliable car (min. Third Party Property Insurance).
  4. Ideally, you'll have a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. If you're not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can help you.
  5. You'll be flexible around meeting the changing needs of home care clients.

Benefits

  1. $29.56 to $32.45 per hour plus 99c/km + paid travel time + mobile phone provided
  2. Full training is given to all our Care Workers, no experience is necessary
  3. Secure employment on a 14-day perm part-time roster so you can plan ahead

  6. First Aid Certificate provided and paid for by us
  7. Paid Certificate III in Aged Care training available if you want to progress
