Autoleague has an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced Accountant / Senior Accountant who is looking to take the next step in their career.

About the Role:

Based in one of our dealerships in Vic Park, you will be part of the team managing financial operations across multiple entities within our group, including a rural site in Albany. You will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day accounting functions and working closely with the management team to drive the dealership's growth and success.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for month-end processing, overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing valuable insights to support growth.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Financial Management: Oversee daily accounting functions including AP/AR, balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Cash Flow Management: Assist with daily cash flow management and forecasting to support operations effectively.
  • Support year-end reporting and audits.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the administration team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

You should have:

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, with 3+ years in an accounting/finance role.
  • Working knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in all facets of accounts function up to trial balance/BAS returns.
  • Highly analytical and organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
