BKI is seeking a passionate Teacher – Allied Health to join our Health and Community Centre of Excellence (HACCOE) team at Bendigo City Campus to teach prospective healthcare professionals and inspire the next generation

You will be working in ultra-modern facilities, equipped with simulated labs and specialist equipment to train future healthcare professionals. Our staff bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to educate and help our students grow.

About The Role

As an Allied Health Assistance Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing students to thrive in a dynamic, hands-on healthcare support role. Drawing on your industry experience, you'll guide learners through the practical and theoretical foundations of assisting allied health professionals—equipping them with the skills to support treatment plans, aid client recovery, and contribute meaningfully to improving patients' mobility, independence, and quality of life. This teaching role is perfect for someone who is passionate about healthcare, enjoys mentoring others, and is committed to shaping the next generation of compassionate, capable Allied Health Assistants.

Qualifications

We are excited about you because you have:
  • TAE40116 Cert IV in Training and Assessment or currently studying
  • Cert IV in Allied Health Assistance OR Bachelor's Degree in an Allied Health discipline

Experience And Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel etc
  • Has an understanding of cultural sensitivity and respects and values difference
  • Is able to identify language, literacy and numeracy issues
  • Can adapt communication style to suit audience and context
  • Ability to build constructive relationships with stakeholders
  • Has an understanding of the concepts and practices underpinning digital and blended learning and applies as a supplement to the learning program
  • Ability and willingness to use digital learning for administrative functions, to communicate, collaborate and for presentations
  • Provision (and maintenance) of current driver's license where relevant
