We have a rare opportunity for an motivated individual to join our cable services facility and learn the end-to-end process of cable repairing and manufacturing. Responsibilities
  • You will perform test, repair and fitting of various sized mining and industrial electrical cables in compliance with Australian Standards.
  • This will involve working as part of an established workshop team and learning the end-to-end process of cable repair and manufacture.
  • Sounds simple? It will have its built-in challenges: You will be working on a product that carries an electrical charge – you will need to produce quality work, every time.
  • You will be working with hand and cutting tools – so you will need to keep a sharp focus on your safety and attention to detail.
  • Our workshop can get quite busy – so sometimes you will be working to deadlines.
Who We Are Looking For
  • We are looking for a Trades Assistant to work out of our Unanderra operation on a full-time basis.
  • This is a role ideal for someone with good hand and tools skills.
  • You will need to be reliable and available to work full time hours, looking for a long-term opportunity, and willing to train into a niche field.
  • Safety as a core value.
  • NSW Drivers License.
  • The ability to work diligently in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Strong hand tool skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • The ability to communicate effectively to colleagues and customers.
