Sedgman has an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer with detailed design experience to join our Engineering Team in Perth. This role will be a contract for a set period of time.

Job Summary

This is a senior electrical engineering position that requires a minimum of 7+ years' experience, preferably in project design, commissioning, and onsite environments.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to work across a continuous succession of small and large projects as they progress through the project lifecycle from early concept development, detailed design, construction and operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare conceptual and detailed electrical designs of various types of ore crushing and conveying facilities and associated services.
  • Define and recommend design methods, specifications, and performance of functional requirements for new projects.
  • Manage electrical discipline budget and schedule during the execution of projects in all phases of maturity.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients, other discipline professionals, and stakeholders to ensure the timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
  • At least 7+ years' experience, preferably in project design, commissioning, and onsite environments.
  • Experience with electrical layouts, designs, safety standards, and low to medium voltage functions.
  • RPEng, CPEng, or Chartered Status is highly regarded but not essential.
