Join our team as a Research Assistant or Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Newborn Health at the Royal Women's Hospital. You'll contribute to impactful infertility research, focusing on systematic reviews of IVF interventions and developing an evidence-based website for IVF patients. This role offers you the chance to work independently and collaboratively, shaping high-quality research projects in this critical field.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct Systematic Reviews: Perform comprehensive reviews of IVF interventions, including literature searches, data extraction, risk of bias assessments, GRADE evaluation, and meta-analysis.
- Develop Patient Resources: Draft, review and update content for an IVF-related website, translating complex research into accessible information.
- Contribute to Research Projects: Assist in project development, grant writing, and ethics applications while managing defined elements of research projects.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a detail-oriented researcher with a strong background in systematic reviews and randomised controlled trials, possessing excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently under general guidance in a dynamic research environment.
You may also:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in medical or biological science, with Honours, Masters, or PhD (for Level B).
- Have deep understanding of systematic review methodologies and critical appraisal of randomised controlled trials, including article screening, risk of bias assessments and GRADE.
- Possess excellent communication skills for effective research collaboration.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and consistent task performance.
- Have experience in reproductive medicine, fertility, or women's health (desirable).
- Be familiar with tools like Revman and Covidence (desirable).
