Duties

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic you will report directly to and liaise with the on-site Manager on breakdowns, on-site maintenance and servicing of our on-site fleet including drills, crane borers, excavators, cherry pickers. Duties included but are not limited to:

• Provide servicing and maintenance for medium and heavy trucks, EWP trucks, crane/borers for power line construction, earth moving and underground horizontal boring equipment.
• Integrate new technology to existing structures of all plant and machinery, including component refurbishing.
• Conduct performance testing on fleet vehicles and reduce equipment downtime with innovative problem solving.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults.
  
  

The Role

Duties

Skills & Qualifications

• Relevant Australian recognised Trade Certificate
• 5+ years experience as heavy-duty diesel fitter/mechanic is essential
• Drill fitting experience is essential
• Mobile plant & truck experience
• Hydraulics experience highly desirable
• Broad experience on Japanese, American and European trucks
• Valid Australian Driver's License - "HR" Class
• Previous experience in conducting breakdowns / fault finding
• Strong ability to adapt to different, environments, and workloads
• Have sufficient and appropriate tools to perform the role
• Must have full Australian Working Rights
