These roles are 38 hours per week with immediate starts available. The work will be across Newcastle and surrounding areas.
About The Role
As a restoration labourer, you and the technician are the first representative to meet customers whose properties have been damaged by flood, fire, mould or other damages, therefore a large customer focus, high degree of professionalism and empathetic nature is essential.
Each day will be different so you will need to be flexible with schedules and tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding swiftly to emergency calls, mitigating damage, and performing cleanup operations.
- Perform extraction, cleaning, sanitization, and structural demolition.
- Attend to water, fire, and mould-affected properties, initiating mitigation processes.
- Preparing scope for necessary works.
- Monitor and document progressive restoration efforts.
- Work closely with fellow technicians
- Communicate daily with operations regarding job updates, reports, and equipment billing.
- Complete timesheets, worksheets, and administrative tasks using internal system programs.
- Adhere to legislative and WHS requirements.
- Perform general manual labour, including frequent driving.
- Self motivation, strong work ethic and eager to grow and learn
- Excellent communication skills, be enthusiastic, punctual and willing to work independently where required
- High level of quality and attention to details that reflects in all aspects of your work to clearly communication the details of each claim with stakeholders
- Excellent presentation
- Physically fit to complete manual labouring duties – lifting and carrying of equipment materials
- Ability to work weekends and out of hours when required
- Willingness to learn and want career advancement
- Own car and licence
- Construction White Card – Advantageous
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
- Full time Hours – 38 hours per week 5 shifts per week
- Base pay rate from $32.30 per hours – plus allowances
- Overtime available
- Full training provided
- Career Progression to become a technician
