Claremont Quarter is Perth's premier retail destination, spanning 30,000 square meters in one of the city's most affluent suburbs. The cosmopolitan village atmosphere created by high streets, Bayview Terrace, and St Quentin Avenue draws shoppers from across the metropolitan area.
The role of Property Manager involves leading the asset team to realise the potential of Claremont Quarter by delivering on the agreed strategy, driving sustainable value and growth, developing a team of exceptional Hawaiian people, and building strong partnerships with tenants and other stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, collaborate, and guide the asset team to deliver the asset strategy.
- Directly manage Senior Operations Manager, Retail Manager, and indirectly supervise Property Accountant, overseeing performance, behaviour, training, and development.
- Establish proactive relationships with internal and external partners, including tenants, customers, residential owners, council, and contractors to ensure organisational compliance and consistency.
- Owning the development, delivery, and ongoing review of the asset strategy, including financial targets, leasing commitments, and capital investment programs.
- Preparing accurate and timely business reports for the Board, Quarterly JV Management Report, and Monthly reports.
- Oversee critical administration tasks, including cash flow management, key leasing dates, tenancy coordination, marketing activities, and CAPEX/OPEX obligations.
Qualification Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in relevant property management, retail, and financial management.
- Current REBA Registered Sales Representative or Property Manager licence.
- Familiarity with the interpretation of retail leases.
- Knowledge and understanding of the retail industry, including occupancy costs, gross profits, mark-ups, leasing, FM, marketing, and turnover sales reporting requirements.
- Working knowledge of the Commercial Tenancy (Retail Shops) Agreements Act.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and resolve issues independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining productive working relationships.
- Well-developed planning and organisation skills, including prioritising multiple deadlines while delivering quality work.
- Related experience in Financial Accounting, particularly systems and reporting processes.
- Proficiency in computer usage and ability to adapt to internal Hawaiian systems once trained.
