Overview

We are looking for a Pathology Collector to service Pathology clinic in Hervey Bay and Maryborough. Part-Time or Casual position available.

Responsibilities
  • Take blood and other specimens from patients including performing 24hr Blood Pressure and Holter monitoring.
  • Processing of Pathology Specimens.
  • Clerical duties and processing paperwork.
  • Ability to communicate with the team, referring Doctors and patients.
  • Ability to demonstrate organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work alone and participate in the weekend roster in any of our collection centres.
Skills and experience
  • Venepuncture experience essential with vacutainer method.
  • Collection of blood and other samples from patients.
  • Experience in ABP and Holter monitors preferred but not essential.
  • Processing of Pathology Specimens.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Comply with Work Health and Safety.
Requirements
  • Own car and current driver licence is required.
  • Fully Vaccinated for COVID-19.
  • Work With Children - Blue Card.
  • It is a requirement that a current Working With Children check clearance is provided upon commencement of employment.
