Role OverviewAn exciting opportunity exists at Marshall Road State School for a permanent Head of Special Education Services to join the Executive Leadership Team. The HOSES will lead and manage the Whole School Support Team, including Teachers and Teacher Aides, and oversee support and stretch opportunities for all students, aligning with the school's vision of belonging and engagement.
The role involves strategic work aligned with Marshall Road State School's AIP priorities, line management of Inclusion staff, and managing the school support timetable from Prep to Year 6. Working within the Executive Leadership Team, you will enhance educational outcomes by facilitating quality teaching, learning, and fostering positive relationships.

About The SchoolMarshall Road State School - Special Education Program is located in a rural setting southeast of Brisbane CBD, catering to over 500 students from Prep to Year 6. The school prides itself on a strong community with longstanding family connections.
Key Responsibilities- Build staff and community knowledge and practices of inclusive education and related legislation.
- Review service delivery models and resources for support and adjustments for targeted students.
- Provide pedagogical coaching and staff mentoring to enhance inclusive practices.
- Utilize data to inform curriculum decisions and plan appropriate adjustments and differentiated teaching.
- Collaborate with students, staff, and parents to support academic, sporting, and social participation.
- Assist classroom teachers in developing work programs and inclusive resources.
- Lead Student Support and stakeholder meetings, including external agencies and parents.
- Foster a positive team culture focused on supporting all students to succeed.
