Darwin Veterinary Hospital is a locally owned, small animal vet hospital positioned in the heart of tropical Darwin.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Supporting our vets during consultations and surgeries
  2. Providing exceptional nursing care to our furry patients
  3. Monitoring anaesthesia and assisting with surgical prep and recovery
  4. Maintaining medical records and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness
  5. Offering kindness, reassurance, and education to pet owners
  6. Being a vital and valued part of a fun, dedicated team

Who We're Looking For:

  1. 1–2+ years' experience in small animal nursing (veterinary qualifications are preferred, but not essential)
  2. Comfortable with in-house laboratory work, radiography, and ultrasound
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
  4. Excellent communication skills — you'll be interacting with clients and our fun-loving team
  5. Willingness to participate in shared on-call duties
  6. Passion for animal welfare, with experience in handling a variety of animals (including wildlife)
  7. Attention to detail and high standards in all aspects of patient care
  8. Ability to navigate our vet software (a bonus, but not essential)
  9. A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to think on your feet
  10. Experience in customer service and client education
