We are looking for an experienced candidate who is systems-focused, remains calm under pressure, has a high attention to detail, and is passionate about events. This role will support the delivery of our flagship Place Conference + Awards in early September and contribute to improving our internal event systems and workflows

You must be driven to achieve results, incredibly creative with the ability to see the event experience from the clients perspective. This individual needs to be well organised, but flexible enough to pivot should the business require a change in creative direction. You will be working closely with our other Events Executives, and you will also receive support from leaders and mentors within the business – allowing you the opportunity to champion the Training & Events in our business.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement event concepts aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee end-to-end event coordination, including planning, budgeting, and execution of events and training days.
  • Manage venue bookings and travel itineraries, ensuring seamless logistics.
  • Create engaging presentations and materials for events and training sessions.
  • Handle registrations, attendance tracking, and reporting for all events.
  • Coordinate event setups and support during events at our facilities.
  • Provide IT/AV assistance and maintain event collateral.
  • Assist with catering and offer ad hoc support to clients as needed.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
  • 2-3+ years of previous corporate event coordination experience and previous delivery of significant events
  • Proven experience with conference management (200+ attendees)
  • An organised planner with a key attention to detail
  • Confidence within Canva or design management programs
  • Experience working within a high-volume, deadline driven environment
  • Proven high-end abilities within Microsoft Office Suite in particular PowerPoint
  • Understanding of AV workflows and coordinating tech teams (Creston, SONOS or similar systems a bonus)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a level of autonomism, prioritise and manage work effectively
  • Excellent people skills
