The City of Perth is seeking an influential and strategic executive leader to guide our Governance and Strategy portfolio—driving alignment, oversight and innovation across the CEO Alliance and executive governance functions.

As Executive Director Governance and Strategy, you will lead a high-impact directorate encompassing the Office of the Lord Mayor and Elected Members, Council Governance and Policy, Strategic Communications, and Strategic Advocacy and Policy.

You will partner closely with the CEO, Lord Mayor and Councillors to advance major strategic initiatives, foster organisational excellence, and ensure effective decision-making and compliance at the highest levels of the City's leadership.

We are looking for a visionary, collaborative and politically astute executive with:

• Extensive experience delivering strategic, operational and governance outcomes within complex organisations.
• Strong capability in corporate governance, compliance, policy development, and organisational performance.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline—ideally within a public sector context.
