Director @ Kalon Consulting | Connecting employers with top-talent Executives and HR professionals

This permanent 'People & Culture Business Partner' role reports to the GM, People & Culture, supporting ~300 staff for a long-standing NDIS service provider in Melbourne's western suburbs. The client delivers diverse services to hundreds of participants, with a values-driven, people-centred approach focused on service excellence and inclusivity.

Base pay range

A$120,000.00/yr - A$120,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Provide operational HR advice, support, and coaching to managers
  • Lead and manage employee relations processes (grievances, disciplinary actions, investigations)
  • Support compliance and accreditation requirements (including organisational accreditation targeted early 2026)
  • Partner on training, development, and engagement initiatives
  • Administer and optimise HRIS (ELMO) and strengthen HRIS usage
  • Drive culture and change initiatives aligned with organisational growth
  • Coaching and capability building for managers
  • Deliver HR projects (engagement surveys, analysis) and provide insights
Required skills & experience
  • Proven HR generalist experience in Aged Care, Disability Services, or the NFP sector
  • Knowledge of the SCHADS Award (highly desirable)
  • Experience in employee relations, including grievances and disciplinary actions
  • Effective coaching and business partnering skills to build manager capability and trust
  • Proficiency with HRIS and other systems, ideally ELMO
  • Attention to detail and strong follow-through to ensure efficiency
  • Experience leading or supporting training, development, and change initiatives
  • Warm, approachable, empathetic style while maintaining professional standards
