Casual Veterinary Receptionist

Gladesville Veterinary Hospital is looking to fill the role of a Casual Veterinary Receptionist.

Located in Gladesville, NSW, Gladesville Veterinary Hospital is one of the first purpose-built veterinary practices in Sydney. The practice has continued to be upgraded since its establishment in 1959 and boasts state-of-the-art facilities for both staff and patients. Essential Criteria:

• Passionate and committed to caring for our patients and clients.
• Exceptional communication skills with excellent written and spoken English.
• Proven experience in a strong customer service role.
• Possess an excellent work ethic, is reliable, and has a stable work history.
• Motivated with high emotional intelligence and energy levels.
• Intermediate to advanced level of computer skills in Word and Excel.
• Strong ability to multitask and keep calm under pressure.
• Able to work in a team environment and take direction.

Knowledge of RxWorks would be an advantage, but training will be provided for the right candidate. Experience in receptionist/client services in a veterinary practice or in a medical environment is preferred. However, if you have extensive history in a customer service role in another industry, we would be keen to hear from you too.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

• Greeting and managing clients and patients.
• Answering extremely busy phone lines and dealing with a high volume of emails.
• Appointment scheduling, helping clients with OTC products, and keeping the reception area tidy and presentable.
• Client and patient data management.
• Bank reconciliations, stock deliveries, and unpacking.
• Processing pet insurance claims/pathology results.
• Providing administrative support to veterinarians and management staff.
