Job Description
Oaks Gold Coast Calypso Plaza Suites is currently seeking a highly skilled and professional Hotel Manager to lead our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join Minor Hotels, an organisation experiencing significant growth with numerous exciting openings on the horizon. It presents an ideal chance for a dedicated individual to step into a key leadership role within a renowned property.

Reporting directly to a supportive and experienced Cluster General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel management, ensuring the seamless operation of daily activities, and maintaining high standards across all departments. This includes comprehensive oversight of hotel operations, maintenance, and strata management to deliver exceptional guest experiences while upholding the property's operational efficiency and financial performance.

About the role:

• You will draw on your passion, initiative, drive and strategic approach to deliver a great product for our guests
• Manage the day-to-day profitability, presentation and operation of the entire property
• Manage financial forecasting, rostering, and implementing promotions to increase sales
• Developing and managing the property team to reach their highest potential
• Responsible for making strategic decisions relating to increasing RevPAR for the company through collating and analysing data as required

Qualifications
To be successful you will require the following experience:

• Extensive operational and financial management experience within a Hotel environment
• Demonstrated strategic and operational leadership experience, with the ability to drive a culture of accountability and promote staff engagement
• Knowledge of body corporate and strata management, with experience in overseeing associated responsibilities and regulations.
• A proven track record of maintaining excellent product and service standards whilst maximising revenue and minimising expenses
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships with guests, owners and staff
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and learning
• Ability to build, maintain and seek new opportunities / partnerships within the local market
• A positive and energetic attitude
• An infectious passion for delivering a memorable guest experience and creating loyalty of guests
