    About The Opportunity

    We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Metabolic Department as a Nurse Consultant, where you will be responsible for:
    • Providing expert nursing care and clinical leadership in the management of children and adolescents with Inborn Errors of Metabolism.
    • Leading and supporting multidisciplinary teams across WCHN, SA, NT, Broken Hill, and Mildura.
    • Educating and mentoring staff, families, and community stakeholders.
    • Coordinating projects and programs to improve metabolic service delivery and patient outcomes.
    • Ensuring care aligns with policy, evidence-based practice, and quality standards.
    • Accepting accountability for clinical decisions, delegations, and professional practice.

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you will have:
    • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
    • Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post registration experience.
    • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing and or midwifery practice in accordance with the relevant standards.
    • Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
    • Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines.
    • Demonstrated ability to foster a workplace environment that develops staff potential
