We are currently seeking experienced OTR Leading Hand Tyre Technicians for our Rio operations at Hope Downs 4 in WA:

The Role

The Leading Hand will provide a high level of continuous service on site by supporting the operations of the workshop, office, stock and personnel, and will also ensure the contracted scope of work is performed and maintained to a high standard, along with mentoring your crew.

Responsibilities
  • The crew consists of 4 Tyre Technicians: working across dayshift, and nightshift, on a range of machinery including a Komatsu 830Emain fleet, CAT 777', Komatsu WA1200 and Letourneau L2350. The site has exceptional tyre facilities.
  • Support the operations of the workshop, office, stock and personnel to ensure contracted work is performed to a high standard.
  • Mentor and develop crew members to maintain safety and quality standards.
About You
  • Preferably a minimum of 2 years of Earthmover tyre fitting experience on mine sites
  • Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy; AUR21916/AUR21920 (essential)
  • HR Drivers Licence
  • Schedule 26
  • Possess a high level of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
  • An understanding that safety is paramount, with a high attention to detail to abide by site safety procedures
  • Ability to work autonomously
