Overview

Lawyer | Transformation at Slater and Gordon Lawyers are a leading personal injury and class actions law firm where every member of our team has a shared passion for our clients; we are people caring for people. This is an 18-month, full-time opportunity. This role could be based in Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney. Flexible work arrangements will be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Review and amend the firm's existing legal precedents and draft new legal precedents.
  • Standardise and migrate precedents into the firm's new case management system, applying the firm's style guide and ensuring content accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Work with stakeholders to build a consistent, high-quality, and future-ready precedent library.
  • Lead and coordinate a precedent update program, including audit, review, redesign, and stakeholder consultation phases.
  • Manage metadata tagging, structuring, and quality checks during migration of precedents.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to identify document needs, fill content gaps, and validate updated versions.
  • Track legislative, regulatory, and procedural changes and update affected precedents accordingly.
  • Work with legal tech and knowledge management teams to optimise precedents for automation platforms.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on accessing and using the updated precedent library.
  • Maintain version control, document integrity, and record-keeping protocols.
What will you bring?
  • Tertiary and Postgraduate qualifications in Law
  • Current Practising Certificate
  • Strong knowledge of legal processes and legal document drafting
  • Excellent computer literacy and understanding of the role of technology in practice
  • Strong internal stakeholder relationship management
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy
