Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage models supporting the EDB Deposits business, including pricing decisioning to set optimal prices for millions of customers.
  • Contribute to building state-of-the-art data science models that solve data-centric problems and improve customer outcomes.
  • Work as part of the Decision Science Pricing team within Retail Banking Services to develop and maintain predictive models and generate insights for strategic and tactical decision making.
  • Utilise state-of-the-art data science and statistical techniques to improve business and customer outcomes.

  • Driving value through timely delivery of industry-leading machine learning and statistical models that solve defined business issues and comply with policies and governance.
  • Proactive knowledge sharing with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen, collaborative in nature, able to work with product teams, and capable of positively influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Creative problem-solving and the ability to think outside the box to tackle complex data science problems.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine learning and advanced data analytics with experience leading end-to-end modelling projects that drive business value.
  • Proficiency in Python or R.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, Computer Science or Engineering.
