PHE Power and Infrastructure is seeking a highly motivated Junior HSE Advisor to join our team based out of the Eagle Farm office on a permanent, full-time basis. This position will involve a mix of local and away work. We encourage candidates from across Brisbane and surrounding areas to apply. Based in Eagle Farm, PHE's Brisbane operations undertake small- and large-scale project work for iconic clients throughout Brisbane and South-East Queensland. You will be responsible for providing HSE support, training, and building safety knowledge across for our people.

About You
  • Diploma OHS qualified or Minimum of Cert IV WHS and TAE
  • Internal Auditing training (desirable)
  • Sound working knowledge and understanding of WHS and Environmental legislation, standards and code of practice
  • D&A testing qualification or ability to obtain (desirable)
  • Return to Work Coordination Qualification (desirable)
  • Sound Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills
  • Sound Safety Leadership
  • Highly organised with impeccable attention to detail
  • Flexible and open to working away from home, as required by the company
About The Role
  • Provide leadership that encourages Work Health, Safety & Environment throughout site to create a continuous improvement culture and implement best practice management systems in the workplace
  • Undertake regular training needs analysis and manage internal audit programs in consultation with management team
  • Prepare reports, record data, and collect evidence of the site's compliance
  • Provide active management of workers' compensation matters, including rehabilitation, case management and return to work programs
  • Reporting any workers compensation matters to Management
  • Ensure that all people work sensibly, safely and abide to all WHS & Environmental Acts and Regulations
  • Conduct random D&A testing on site
  • Identify health, safety, and environmental non-conformances, conduct investigations and develop solutions for implementation
