The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Body Builder to join our team at Re-Car Brisbane.

You will be responsible for fabricating and installing new components and parts, including bodywork, onto commercial vehicle chassis using welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess vehicle damage to determine restoration work requirements
  • Maintain and utilize the chassis crush properly
  • Treat company equipment with respect and care your own tools
  • Advise Parts Interpreter of additional parts needed not originally quoted on estimates
  • Coordinate with workshop workers to ensure smooth workflow
  • Notify of product shortages restricting production
  • Check daily schedule to meet time-frames

Requirements:

  • Trade qualified
  • Proficiency in welding techniques and metal fabrication
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Able to troubleshoot and problem-solve issues that arise
  • Mechanical knowledge to assist in tool usage and maintenance
  • Overall aptitude for technical activities
