Job Description

Are you a talented and passionate chef who loves crafting exceptional breakfast dishes? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, friendly environment where quality and customer satisfaction are priorities?

Mercure Newcastle is seeking a Full Time Breakfast Chef to join our small kitchen team.

As our Breakfast Chef, you will prepare and serve a variety of breakfast dishes, from traditional hot breakfasts to healthier and continental options. You will manage the breakfast section efficiently, ensuring timely, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented food.

Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
  • Prepare, cook, and serve food for the breakfast buffet with variety and flair
  • Ensure strict stock rotation and minimal wastage following stock control procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in all working areas; wash dishes during service
  • Assist with in-house functions, restaurant, and cafe food as required
  • Maintain, service, and clean all equipment; report issues to the Food & Beverage Operations Manager
Qualifications

Your Skills and Experience Include:

  • Experience in buffet breakfast service preferred
  • Consistently deliver high-quality food while managing food costs
  • Collaborate with service teams to ensure quality and guest satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn and go above and beyond for guests
