The Governance and Capability Service supports the Commissioner of Police in discharging his responsibilities to control and manage SA Police by ensuring SAPOL has appropriate governance and capability to meet its statutory charter, other government obligations, and community expectations. The Service leads in supporting strategic thinking, determining strategic objectives, and fulfilling the organisation's vision and values to drive SAPOL's performance.

The Organisational Reform Program (ORP) focuses on data-informed business improvements aimed at enhancing decision-making, efficiency, and service delivery. Using real-time insights and data-informed indicators, the ORP business plan prioritizes systematic data collection, analysis, and application to identify performance gaps, streamline operations, and support strategic planning.

The Senior Digital Communications Officer is responsible for developing and implementing internal communication strategies and managing the internal digital communications platform to effectively reach staff. The role involves building awareness, fostering relationships with audiences, and providing specialist digital marketing and social media advice to execute digital strategies across various communication platforms within the organization.

Special Conditions

  • The incumbent must hold current Australian work eligibility and will be subject to a criminal history check.
  • May be assigned other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • Some out-of-hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
  • Participation in SAPOL's iEngage program is mandatory.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications or a related discipline.

Salary: ASO6 - $98,478 - $104,165 per annum.
