About the Role:
We're seeking an exceptional leader who excels in developing high-performing kitchen teams and maintaining exacting standards. Working collaboratively with you, we'll design this specialist position to maximize your impact on our kitchen operations, team development, and quality standards. Your proven ability to train, mentor, and inspire kitchen teams will be central as we refine systems and workflows that ensure consistent excellence. Working alongside our Kitchen Manager, you'll have the opportunity to build this role into something truly exceptional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a high-performing kitchen team through intensive training and mentorship
- Develop and implement comprehensive training systems for consistent recipe execution
- Drive operational excellence during peak service periods through effective leadership and communication
- Create and maintain detailed workflow systems that ensure quality and efficiency
- Implement and oversee quality control measures across all kitchen operations
- Work with executive management to optimize new menu items for service efficiency
- Foster a positive kitchen culture focused on continuous improvement and excellence
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven track record in leading high-volume kitchen teams through busy service periods
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing staff training programs
- Exceptional understanding of workflow optimization and kitchen efficiency
- Strong history of maintaining consistent quality standards across large teams
- Commercial Cookery Certificate III or equivalent qualification strongly regarded
- Advanced knowledge of food safety systems and quality control measures
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
Package:
- Base salary $66,150 - $80,000 (experience dependent) per annum (excluding superannuation)
