MedHealth Rehabilitation Consultant Role

As a Rehabilitation Consultant with MedHealth, you will work within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team who are collaborative, supportive and fun.

Job Summary

This is an opportunity to provide occupational rehabilitation services to individuals living with an illness, disability or injury. You will work closely with clients, employers and medical professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans that enable individuals to return to work or find new employment.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the flexibility and autonomy to manage their own day, supported by a strong team of healthcare professionals and resources from a global corporate infrastructure. Key duties include:

  • Case management: managing caseloads and providing support through rehabilitation assistants
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
  • Developing and implementing injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers and medical professionals
  • Completing assessments using allied health skills, including functional capacity evaluations and ergonomic assessments
  • Delivering virtual reality pain education programs
Requirements

We welcome new graduates and experienced professionals to apply for this role. To be successful, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology
  • Full Professional Registration with AHPRA or Full Accreditation with ESSA
  • Previous experience in occupational rehabilitation (desired)
  • Fabulous communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassion, kindness and empathy
  • Effective time management skills
  • A current valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with comprehensive insurance
