Clinical Nurse Consultant - Child Health

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Registered Nurse to provide expert clinical leadership and management, drive service improvement, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional clinical care for children with developmental challenges. As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will lead and mentor a dedicated team of nurses while collaborating with multidisciplinary partners.

To be successful in this role, you will possess advanced clinical knowledge in child development, strong leadership, management, and communication skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain effective partnerships. You will be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children and families.

The Child Development Service (CDS) is a vital part of our community, dedicated to supporting the growth and development of children. We provide essential assessments, diagnoses, and interventions to infants, children, and young people experiencing developmental challenges. Our goal is to empower these children to reach their full potential by working closely with their families to improve their function, participation in everyday life, and overall parent-child relationships.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical leadership and management to a team of nurses.
  • Drive service improvement and contribute to the delivery of exceptional clinical care for children with developmental challenges.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary partners to develop and implement best practice care plans.
  • Lead and mentor a dedicated team of nurses to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
Requirements

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. Fixed-term and/or casual contracts can be held by individuals on visas that allow working rights within Australia.

You must have:

Advanced clinical knowledge in child development.Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.A proven ability to build and maintain effective partnerships.A current, valid email address to apply online.Selection Criteria
