Overview

Support Worker (Community Aged Care) role in Maryborough. Suncare is committed to making people's lives better, through providing innovative personal solutions that support people to live their life, their way. This is a Permanent Part-Time role (28 hours per fortnight) to provide support to our customers in Maryborough and surrounding region.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care, household domestic assistance (e.g., cleaning bathrooms, mopping, dusting), meal preparation, and general companionship to aged people living at home (independently or with family).
  • Accompany customers on shopping trips, appointments, and community activities; help them build social networks.
  • Adapt to the individual needs of customers; deliver services in a customer-focused, respectful manner.
Hours

Hours are typically Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm. A fortnightly roster will be arranged, for example Wednesday and Friday 9am–4:30pm (28 hours per fortnight). There may be opportunities to gain additional hours depending on availability and operational requirements.

About you

A background and qualification in community services is advantageous. Requirements
  • Physically fit and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Valid Driver's Licence and willingness to use your own vehicle for work purposes (vehicle must be appropriately insured).
  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) and CPR and First Aid certificates.
