The Role (12 month Maternity Leave Cover till end of Feb 2026)

The Credit Risk Specialist is a key role within the Credit Risk team of ANZ Worldline, reporting into the Head of Credit Risk. The Credit Risk team is part of Risk and Compliance and is responsible for ensuring Credit Risk is effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Be a Subject Matter Expert on Worldline's Credit Risk Policies and Procedures.
  2. Identify, investigate, assess and report on credit risk matters making sure that it complies with Worldline Credit Risk Policies and Procedures.
  3. Determine the creditworthiness and credit risk profile of new and existing merchants, thereby preventing the company from financial loss.
  4. Handle daily operations in accordance with organisational policies and procedures within an agreed SLA.
  5. Perform periodic reviews on existing merchants to ensure there are no adverse changes in their credit risk exposure.
  6. Ensure the completeness and accuracy of the client documentation as well as preparation for review by various domestic and international credit risk committees.
  7. Present assessment recommendations to the relevant committees.
  8. Provide support and guidance as required by the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) team on credit risk, including financial analysis.
  9. Support the Head of Credit Risk in ensuring that all credit risk systems, processes and procedural level documentations are created, maintained, continuously reviewed and optimised.
  10. Build organisational awareness in terms of credit and wider risk management.
  11. Work collaboratively with the Sales organisation to ensure that the end-to-end onboarding process of customers is optimised, whilst managing credit risk within acceptable levels.

Experience

  1. 5+ years within the credit risk environment.
  2. 3+ years in payments or technology driven organisation.
  3. Experience in a merchant acquiring organisation.
  4. Excellent knowledge of financial statement assessment, including ratio analysis.
  5. Planning and organizational skills.
  6. Influencing and negotiation skills.
  7. Communication and presentation skills.
  8. Commercial awareness and industry knowledge.
  9. Results driven and ability to work under pressure.
  10. Advanced knowledge of Office products, including Powerpoint and Excel.
  11. Multicultural and flexible mindset with the ability to multi-task and work in an international environment.
  12. Some knowledge of Customer Due Diligence and Fraud Risk, within a merchant acquiring context would be beneficial.

Education

  1. Bachelor's Degree (Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or equivalent).
