As AI Software Engineer, you will help plan, design and deliver cutting-edge generative AI solutions to provide both an exceptional product experience along with operational efficiencies. Reporting into the Head of AI, your role will be to work with product managers, fellow engineers and data scientists to design, develop, and implement AI models and end-to-end systems. In particular, you will:

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of sophisticated generative AI and machine learning models and applications across GCP and Azure.
• Work on Stake's conversational AI assistant, Stake Compass, and further develop its capabilities across the Stake platform.
• Architect and implement scalable, robust, and maintainable AI software solutions within Stake's technical ecosystem.
• Write high-quality, efficient, and well-documented code, primarily in Python, adhering to software engineering best practices.
• Have high learning agility and stay at the forefront of advancements in AI, machine learning, and related technologies, evaluating and championing their application at Stake.
• Technical stack: Python, PyTorch, HuggingFace Transformers, Golang, CockroachDB, Pub/Sub

Don't worry if you don't have experience with Python or some of our other technologies. If you're a capable engineer with proven ability using other stacks and are happy to learn ours, then we want to hear from you

• You're a master of your craft: You have extensive proficiency in Python and its AI/ML ecosystem (PyTorch, Transformers, scikit-learn, spaCy), applying them to create robust, efficient and maintainable systems.
• You're an AI builder: You have a deep, practical understanding of generative AI, with hands-on experience implementing RAG systems, fine-tuning, vectorisation, KNN and NLP. You know your way around HuggingFace.
• You've built backend REST applications: You have experience building performant web applications in Python and Flask, and are an advocate for software engineering best practices.
• You're a communicator: You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
