HSSE Systems Engineer - Perth
A major Oil and Gas operator is seeking an HSSE Systems Engineer to work in their Wells team in Perth, WA.
This is a 12-month contract role working Monday to Friday in the Perth office.
The role will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of the company's Wells safety systems in alignment with the control framework. This includes adhering to Wells standards to ensure project completion and operational HSSE focus areas are implemented and sustained across all sites within the region.
Key Accountabilities- Manage Wells HSSE systems, ensuring contractor HSSE management compliance and healthy HSSE reporting systems (equipment and competency verification).
- Support contractor management, including tender evaluation and onboarding of contractors.
- Act as the focal point for Sphera (Incident investigation system).
- Support incident investigation and learning initiatives.
- Manage Assist and Assure systems and reporting.
- Prepare and support HSSE audits.
- Assess the embedding of the HSE agenda focus areas against company requirements.
- Support onshore Well Operations Managers, Well Operation Team Leads, Well Engineering Team Lead, and Completions/Well Services Supervisors in daily safety matters, including dissemination and implementation of safety policies, rules, and procedures within offshore operations.
- Promote a HSSE-aware culture among contractors and staff onshore and offshore.
- Demonstrate safety leadership daily and coach others to be safety leaders as required.
