Job DescriptionAbout the team

The Member Engagement Team (MET) provides our members with products and services to strengthen their knowledge and engagement, and give them the opportunity to access, adopt and benefit from leading insights. The vision is to optimise the member experience as AICD as well as enhance their professional capabilities.

About the role

As the Member Acquisition Adviser, you will meaningfully engage with prospective members to understand their governance, professional development, and directorship goals. Leveraging your customer focus skills to convey how the AICD offering of membership, products, programs and services can best support in achieving their professional aspirations. Your expertise in lead conversion while building relationships and connection is key.

You will be provided with in-depth onboarding and supportive training as well as ongoing coaching to ensure you are confidently positioned as a trusted advisor.

Your remit will be broad and will include:

  • Proactively identify member needs and pathways for growth to achieve their professional aspirations.
  • Research and manage leads.
  • Manage business development and engagement opportunities to achieve membership growth.
  • Determine and cross-sell appropriate products and services to meet members' needs, participating in targeted campaigns when required.
  • Identify members at risk and take appropriate action.
  • Resolve member issues raised.
  • Provision of insightful statistics and data reports.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed CRM management.
Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout you

You will have strong technical aptitude and previous relevant experience, and you will champion the AICD values of: Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Collaboration. In addition, you will also have the following:

  • Experience working in a sales, customer service or education environment
  • Demonstrated ability in building credibility and trusted partnerships
  • The ability to influence and communicate with C&D-level executives
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue through the conversion of leads
  • Soft selling skills
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • CRM data management and MS Office experience
  • An ability to collaborate and work as a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound listening and presentation skills
