Overview

Senior Project Engineer - CRCP at CPB Contractors

The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of the North East Link Project, Victoria's biggest road project. The Design and Construction Contractor includes Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction, and China Construction Oceania, delivering the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges. The Central Package is delivered as a Public Private Partnership and features three-lane twin tunnels to improve Melbourne's freeway network and reduce congestion.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in CRCP to join our TBM team on the Spark North East Link Project. This is a senior opportunity to lead a team of engineers and contribute to Melbourne's largest project to date.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate on-site engineering functions, including management of Site Engineers and Project Engineers, for the CRCP components of the project with a multi-million dollar portfolio.
  • Manage CRCP sections of the project and lead a team to achieve time and budget objectives; provide support for construction activities.
  • Monitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material; check drawings, construction and specifications against site plans and conditions; arrange corrections as needed.
  • Coordinate the activities of the engineering team, programme workloads, and provide technical and administrative guidance to ensure objectives are met effectively and economically.
  • Engage with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and planning authorities to ensure satisfactory completion of structures and construction work.
  • Ensure project engineering completion is on time and within budget; record completed work, costs incurred, materials used and retain progress drawings.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Project Engineer experience with minimum 10 years in construction; operational experience desirable.
  • Understanding of the Quality Management Plan, Safety Management Plan, TfNSW Q6, and Project Quality Plan development and implementation.
  • Experience delivering high-quality outcomes in PCP and/or CRCP pavement using TfNSW R82/R83 or equivalent specifications.
  • Experience in TfNSW R93 Pavement Grinding.
  • Effective time management skills; proven experience in cost planning and forecasting.
  • Experience in managing Site Engineers and Project Engineers.
