About The Role

As part of our Infrastructure Services Directorate, you will play a crucial role in the Roads Construction and Maintenance unit, contributing to projects that enhance the quality of life in our community. You will be responsible for the day to day delivery of Councils spray sealing operations, including but not limited to operating bitumen spraying equipment, maintaining safety standards, and assisting with general labouring tasks for the Roads Construction and Maintenance unit

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

• Current Class HR Drivers Licence and NSW Dangerous Goods Licence
• Experience operating hot bitumen spray trucks and general roadwork machinery
• Current Safework White Card (general construction induction card) or equivalent
• Current SafeWork accreditation to Implement Traffic Control Plans (IMP)
• Current SafeWork accreditation as a Traffic Controller (TCR)
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and the public.

Other Important Information

• The commencing salary for this position is up to $70.7K Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $81.9K on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation and Level 1 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance. This role offers up to $5k Market Loading for the right candidate.
• We have a permanent full-time available
• This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
• This role is located at the Erina Works Depot
