About the Opportunity

Are you a strategic communicator with a knack for simplifying the complex? Consumer and Business Services (CBS) is seeking an experienced Senior Communications Officer to join our dynamic team within the South Australian Government. In this pivotal role, you'll provide trusted advice to CBS leaders, including the Commissioner - delivering timely, strategic communications advice that cuts through complexity and connects with audiences.

What you'll do:

Provide high-level communications advice on sensitive and complex consumer and business issues.

Proactively identify emerging issues and craft smart, effective communications solutions.

Translate legislation and policy into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences.

Develop and deliver project-specific communications plans, including stakeholder consultation and change communications in accurate, timely fashion.

Producing high-quality content for various platforms including websites, newsletters, fact sheets, and social media.

Lead the creation of engaging internal communications and video content.

Get hands-on with web content editing.

About the Business

The Attorney-General's Department (AGD) provides a range of legal, regulatory and other services for the government and people of South Australia. Consumer and Business Services (CBS) is a division of the Attorney-General's Department and is responsible for protecting consumers, supporting and regulating businesses and recording significant life events for South Australians. CBS is customer focussed and flexible in its activities, providing accessible information and services.

CBS constitutes a large part of South Australia's business/consumer regulatory system and is the regulator for many businesses and professions.

Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested.
