Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Program
EMR is a consumer-centred program that supports healthcare providers to perform their roles, enabling safety and quality to be at the heart of care for every consumer.
This Program has been established to digitally transform WA Health's clinical information management systems by delivering a Statewide EMR solution for WA Health. The EMR is identified in the WA Health Digital Strategy 2020-2030 as the digital keystone to modernising and improving healthcare across Western Australia.
The EMR Program will incorporate changes to technology, business processes, and culture. It will take advantage of innovations in digital healthcare to improve patient safety and quality of care for the Western Australian community regardless of their location.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Clinical Director to join our diverse and highly skilled team in contributing to the health of all Western Australians.
This appointment is for 2.5 years with the possibility of extension(s).
As a senior executive member, this position contributes to developing and implementing the strategic goals of the EMR Program and is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient roll-out of this program statewide.
Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Deputy Clinical Director will lead, plan, manage, and implement the statewide EMR Program. This role will manage and work collaboratively with the identified EMR Chief Information Officer positions for Medical, Nursing & Midwifery, Health Information Management, Pharmacy, and Allied Health and will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in system performance and processes.
Please view the Job Description Form attached which provides a full statement of duties for the position.
