Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the specified area whilst on shift; maintaining the established service standard; and upholding the policies and procedures of the outlet and the Hotel. Food and Beverage Supervisors may forecast rosters and manage payroll costs while achieving the profit budget. People management skills are required to supervise a diverse group of individuals, with recruitment and training conducted satisfactorily.

• Attend to guest's needs and desires immediately.
• Effectively coordinate the supervision of food and beverage outlets as rostered.
• Ensure efficient and effective inter-department interaction within the hotel at all levels.
• Ensure the presentation of neat, clean and functionally operating departments; action maintenance and cleaning issues promptly.
• Provide proper training for all food and beverage team members so service levels are consistent and professional.
• Keep the department including public areas, storerooms and offices clean and organized at all times.
• Participate in planning and conducting theoretical and on-the-job training.
• Know and follow all established hotel occupational health and safety guidelines (OH&S).
• Maintain an effective reservations system for table bookings.
• Ensure cashiering policies and procedures are followed.
• Protect and maintain all operating equipment in conjunction with the maintenance manager.
• Provide assistance to other departments or outlets when required.
• Ensure the security of the area, especially after hours; secure doors and fridges and lock away items prior to closing.
• Weekly stock requisitions to maintain par levels and assist with monthly stock counts for ME.
• Maintain open communication with other F&B personnel to foster solid teamwork within the F&B department.
