Overview

Global Medics are exclusively partnering with one of the largest Healthcare Providers in Australia for two Consultant/Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine roles based at Griffith Base Hospital, New South Wales.

The Murrumbidgee district is surrounded by natural beauty, including green national parks and refreshing rivers full of wildlife, perfect for hiking, fishing, birdwatching, kayaking, and other nature activities. Residents enjoy great food, a relaxed pace of life, complemented by a strong sense of community and a diverse cultural scene. Located in the heart of NSW, the central point of Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra

Newly developed Griffith Base Hospital is a 119-bed facility which provides a range of specialist services (both resident and visiting) including emergency medicine, critical care, general medicine, surgery, paediatric medicine, oncology, obstetrics, respiratory medicine, renal dialysis, \"Hospital in the Home\" and rehabilitation. Additional services include physiotherapy, dietetics, social work, pharmacy, occupational therapy and Aboriginal health. There are also a range of diagnostic services including pathology, CAT Scans, nuclear medicine, ultrasound and general x-ray.

Griffith is a vibrant regional city located in the heart of the Riverina, often referred to as the \"food bowl of Australia.\" With a population of over 27,000, Griffith offers affordable housing compared to metropolitan areas. It boasts excellent schools, libraries, eateries, and recreational facilities. The city offers a welcoming and multicultural community with a strong sense of belonging.

Salary: $251,618 - $354,479 per annum

There is an additional remuneration via penalty loading (working afterhours/weekends/public holidays), TESL entitlements approx. $39,000.

Requirements
  • Fellowship of the relevant Royal Australian Medical College or equivalent
