Field Engineer

Monadelphous are seeking an experienced Field Engineer to join our PNG Operations team. Initially you will be based in our Brisbane Head Office Monday to Friday for approximately 3 months, prior to mobilising to site on a 4 weeks on 2 weeks off roster for approximately 7 months. This high-paced position will provide technical expertise across design management, project management, estimating, procurement, contractual correspondence, quality assurance, and internal/external stakeholder management for our work in Papua New Guinea.

• Work closely with the Construction Manager and Project Manager to ensure project objectives are met on time with respect to cost, safety and quality
  
• Work closely with client representatives and deliver to meet their requirements
  
• Manage the interface between the engineering and project delivery teams to maintain compliance with the specifications, schedules and contract
  
• Manage and supervise the resolution of technical queries as required
  
• Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to other members of the engineering team
  
• Compile schedule, cost, progress and forecast reports for the project; ensuring all schedule reporting requirements are met
  
• Own and manage the change management process
  
• Provide support to the project team and implement best practice on the project
  

• 5+ years' experience working in an on-site engineering position for large-scale resources construction/maintenance projects
  
• Experience building strong, value driven client relationships
  
• An Australian recognised, tertiary qualification in Structural or Mechanical Engineering
  
• Proven experience in project management, including design management
  
• Strong written and technical skills, with an innovative approach to technical problem-solving and continuous improvement
  
• Experience of managing the contractual correspondence across project delivery
  
• Well-developed communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels
  
• A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
  
• Proof of right to work in Australia and a valid passport
