Job Title: HSE Advisor

PHE Pty Ltd seeks a highly motivated Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor to ensure a culture of safety and quality on site, maintaining compliance with management systems.

This role involves working in an underground mine with a 2:1 roster split between day and night shifts, providing HSE support, training, and building safety knowledge across the team in surface and underground environments.

About You:
  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Training and Assessment (TAE)
  • Internal Auditing training preferred
  • Solid understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Environmental legislation, standards, and codes of practice
  • Drug and Alcohol testing qualification or ability to obtain
  • Return to Work Coordination Qualification
  • Previous experience as an HSE Advisor in industrial electrical construction projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong safety leadership skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
About the Role:
  • Lead and promote a safety culture throughout the site, fostering continuous improvement and implementing best practice management systems
  • Conduct regular training needs analysis and manage internal audit programs in consultation with management
  • Prepare reports, record data, and gather evidence of site compliance
  • Manage workers' compensation matters, including rehabilitation, case management, and return to work programs
  • Report workers' compensation issues to management
  • Ensure all personnel work safely and adhere to all WHS and Environmental Acts and Regulations
  • Conduct random Drug and Alcohol testing on site
  • Identify non-conformances related to health, safety, and environment, investigate incidents, and develop corrective actions
