Responsibilities
  • You will teach effective Swimming and Water Safety to help grow our swim program. This will be a casual role requiring you to work mornings, evenings and weekends and you must be empathetic to the needs of the classes.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.
  • Be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun, with a flair for working with children; maintain outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure swim school members, patrons and parents gain maximum benefit and enjoyment from the services provided.
  • We will continue to guide and educate our employees by providing ongoing training; opportunities for progression are available within a rapidly growing organisation.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Energetic, innovative and decisive teaching style
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
  • Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends and be empathetic to the needs of the classes
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
  • Blue Card: Working With Children Check & National Police Check
  • Current Swim Certificate - Teaching of Swimming and Water Safety
  • Swim Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics (Desirable)
  • Swim Teacher of Aquatics Access and Inclusion (Desirable)
  • Previous experience as a swim teacher is essential for this role
  • Ability to swim is essential for this role
