We are seeking a dynamic, innovative educator to join our Wheelers Hill Junior faculty on a full-time permanent basis for 2026. The role focuses on using effective teaching strategies to improve student learning and wellbeing and designing teaching approaches responsive to the strengths and needs of students.

Role location: Wheelers Hill Junior Campus

Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge of content and teaching strategies to develop engaging learning outcomes
  • Apply teaching strategies based on knowledge of students' physical, social and intellectual development to improve student learning
  • Integrate ICT into learning and teaching programs to make content relevant and meaningful
  • Develop, select and use informal and formal diagnostic, formative and summative assessment strategies to assess student learning
  • Participate in ongoing professional learning targeted to school priorities
  • Model and uphold Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
Qualifications
  • Relevant experience as a generalist classroom teacher in primary years with a sound understanding of primary teaching and learning principles
  • Experience with the IB PYP Program (advantageous)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire children
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Hold a current VIT registration and relevant teaching qualifications
