Your new role

We are searching for an experienced, energetic and industry-connected Project Director to join the leadership team in Brisbane. The primary purpose of the Project Director role is to lead the process of design and delivery of tasks and projects, provide support to the Directors, lead the project team, and administer contracts to ensure performance targets are met and potential sources of risk are mitigated. A proactive approach to the successful operational management and business development of the Brisbane business is also a key responsibility, and as such the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate depth and understanding of the local market context. The Project Director role is a key leadership position in the state and alongside core project delivery responsibility, the incumbent will contribute to:

Responsibilities
  • Business Development – procuring new projects and engaging in active professional networking.
  • Maintaining Budgets annually as agreed with Directors.
  • Resourcing – allocations, attraction, and retention.
  • Training and Development – lead training and professional development sessions.
  • Manage with Directors the growth of team members.
  • Team Culture – diversity and inclusion, social events, team activities.
  • Proactive client management and relationship building.
Your qualifications

The successful applicant will have a tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering or similar with a demonstrated depth of over 10 years' experience in the project and development management space. A minimum of 5 of those years must be in Brisbane, and for a project management consultancy. You will have strong experience leading dynamic teams that include graduates through senior project managers. Leading by example, you will ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of project outcomes and exceptional experiences for each and every stakeholder.
