As an Early Childhood Teacher at Goodstart, you'll ignite a love of learning in children, guiding their development with purposeful and energetic teaching practices.

About Goodstart Penfield:

  • Located behind the RAAF base, on a 12-acre block in a rural market farming area.
  • Rated Exceeding National Quality Standards
  • Licenced for 85 children, catering to all early learning age groups from 6 weeks to 5 years.
  • The centre is open from 6.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Our learning philosophy is that the experience should be fun, developed in partnership with parents and meeting the individual needs and interests of the child.
  • The centre boasts large grassed outdoor play areas for the children.
  • Additionally, have a chicken coop and vegetable garden where the children actively participate in caring for the chickens and tending to the garden.
  • Led by Centre Director Annette who has been director since 2004. Annette is fortunate to lead a team of experienced and highly qualified early childhood educators, many of whom have been at the centre for many years.

You'll need:

  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) or ACECQA approved equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Current SA Working with Children Check
  • Hold active registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia (TRB SA) (applicants working towards their Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) may be able to apply for Special Authority to Teach if certain conditions are met)
